If you do not see your model listed below and do not know how to perform a firmware update our customer service team would be happy to assist you.

Hi All,I need some advise. My 3310ci decided to crash.I've had the hand shake problems reported but would just reboot the system and all was good.A couple weeks ago we had some visitors from out of town that wanted to watch a movie in the dedicated theatre. I turn everything on and get a 'no hdmi signal' on the screen. I did the dance moving cables and isolated it down to the receiver. Sent the receiver to an authorised repair facility. I get the call that the hdmi board is defective and can be replaced for $350.
They checked the waranty status and it was out by 3 months, even though my projector internal timer says only app 300 hrs of use. I told them to go ahead, however, I wasn't really happy with it being that much.NOW.I get another call saying they tried to update the firmware but the unit failed and it needs a new network card!?#&^@.an additional $150.So my question (I think I know the answer) should I get it repaired or spend the additional on a comparible receiver? If a new receiver what brand / model. All my other units are either Yamaha or H/K.I'm really bummed about this since the $350 was my threshold to repair a 2+ year old unit and now $500 for repair on a unit that I'm not totally confident in.Any Suggestions? Thanks,Toddbtw.I have a universal remote so I think if I switch brands I'll have to have an installer come over and reprogram the remote.$$$Thanks Again.

That is a tough question. I have the 4310 and my network card died as well and I ordered it and replaced it myself. It was very easy.
The cost was $125 for the card from Denon. You are already into this unit $350 and you might want to add the cost of the network card and fix the unit. This will buy you some time to save up for a newer AVR with more up to date features or sell it, once fixed to help with the cost of a new one. If you hadn’t already laid out money to fix the HDMI board then the answer would be easy, buy a new AVR, but since you have spent it then it’s a matter of finances in my opinion. I know it may not mean much, but even though I've had some shaky experiences with my Denon's, I don't think I would go with any other company. The first Denon I got (an older model.I think it was a 1705, I'll have to check when I get home.) wouldn't turn on.
It was replaced the same day by a guy from the store where I bought it. He even helped me set it up, for free even.
Was really nice. Never had an issue with that receiver, and it still works, though it's not in use at the moment. My 3311 that I'm running now used to freeze sometimes, but a power pull would fix that. OVer the years it seems to have sorted itself out, and is a rock-solid unit. I love my Denons. I would not buy Denon now. My 4308CI and 3312CI both have defective HDMI cards and Denon has real issues with the 3313CI too. Sending customers refurb units is a crime if you ask me.
You buy a new 3312CI or 3313CI and Denon sends out refurb units with the same issues. I'm waiting over 3 weeks for a replacement HDMI card for a defective 3312CI and there is no end in sight. Constant freezing, no master power switch so you have to unplug the unit all the time to reboot it. This IS INSANE!!!!
Denon has REAL design issues. It seems thay take the same troubled cards and just put them in units and change the name.
For the 4308CI - 3312CI and 3313CI to ALL have the same issues it must be a wake-up call for consumers. Knowing that a card or part is defective and using the same card or design in model after model shows Denon does not care. I would NOT buy ANY Denon product until this quality control issue is sorted out. You're setting yourself up for TROUBLE and a BIG hit in your pocketbook.
OOOOHHHHH MAN!!They just shipped it out.I was worried about this but everything I read and people I spoke to said the problems were with the XX10CI series.I assumed they had sorted these problems out since they have a warranty of 3years on the 3313CI. If they knew of a potential defect they wouldn't extend the warranty period.would they? Are these manufacturs just trying to beat each other to market with their 'new' products? Do they take the time to test their designs and longevity?Just last night I had to send a Def. Sub (5 months young) back for warranty repair. (Didn't sence incoming signals anymore)I consider the stuff I buy to be upper-mid level and I would think these products shouldn't crap out like this.
At what price point does one get reliability?Frustrated,Todd.
